On Friday April 9, 2010 at 0947 hours stations 99, 101, 53 and EMS 116 were alerted to # 9 Louise Drive in Allegheny Twp. for a reported house fire. Upon arrival police units reported a fire that was well off in the single family dwelling. Air 49, RIT 51, E177, and Snorkel 50 were quickly added to the alarm. Assistant 99-2 arrived on the scene and established command as crews from E53-2 started to stretch lines to the fire. Due to the involvement, a defensive operation was used until the bulk of the fire could be contained. Crews remained on-scene for nearly 3.5 hours overhauling the building that was a total loss.
